Think about shooting your hands straight up
this gives height and a cleaner kick and landing
also deadleg the kick a couple times to get the
feeling and after that snap the roundkick fast
for a clean 540
also think about doing it off a hook/Power hook
this keeps momentum going and it's WAY easier to block
